The Tunbridge Wells Jam Night has been running for over 6 years now. For the first few years the venue was the Bat and Ball in Southborough. There, in the hands of Carl Weber the Jam was born! It started off as more of an acoustic jam and built up over the years. When Carl moved away at the end of 1997, a number of hosts followed but the following summer the Tuesday Night Specials (TNS) started to host it. The electric jam went from strength to strength. It was so popular that the pub put on another 2 jams a week (one blues and one acoustic) as well as gigs at the weekend. The popularity was reflected in the pub coming runner up in the Licensee / PRS music pub of the year! |
